St. Francis Police: Shirtless man found walking along median of 794, wanted to get back home to Illinois

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) – A man found walking in the median of 794 without a shirt told officers he was trying to get back home to Illinois, according to St. Francis Police.

Police say the man was seen around 9:50 a.m. Thursday, June 28 walking in the median in the 3500 block of 794. The man reportedly told officers he had been at Summerfest the night before and had been robbed while in Milwaukee, losing his money, wallet, and phone. He told police he did not know which way to get back home to Illinois and did not know it was illegal or unsafe for him to walk in the median.

Investigators said the man did not want to make a report, he just wanted to get back home. According to St. Francis Police, the man was turned over to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department.
