St. Francis Police: Family fight leads to multiple arrests, injuries including stabbing victim

ST. FRANCIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police were called to an apartment in the 1900 block of Tripoli Avenue for a report of a brother and sister physically fighting.

It happened shortly before midnight on January 17.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that a 28-year-old St. Francis man was arguing with his sister, a 30-year-old St. Francis woman about family issues.

Police say both of them were throwing items around the apartment causing a disturbance.

The man allegedly struck his sister in the side of the head and was arrested for battery.

Upon being arrested, the man spit at officers. He was taken to the Milwaukee County Jail on multiple charges.

Officers later learned during the argument, the woman had stabbed her cousin in the arm with a knife. The victim was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

The woman was taken to the Milwaukee County Jail.

The entire incident will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
