GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The 2025 Root Beer Bash is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Bavarian Bierhaus in Glendale. Organizers call it the world’s largest root beer float festival.
Jenny Nyquist of Sprecher Brewery and Becca Petrillo of the North Shore Chamber of Commerce joined us on Friday, Aug. 1 to preview what families can expect.
The free event includes a Sprecher root beer float giveaway while supplies last, yard games, a bounce house, face painting and a petting zoo. Music acts include Kid Boogie Down, Steve Beguhn Band and Shorewood School of Rock.
Sprecher Brewery will also offer free bottles of root beer Wednesday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Glendale location, 701 W. Glendale Ave. Brewery tours will run hourly starting at 1 p.m. Some Kopp’s and Chocolate Factory locations will give away root beer floats on Aug. 6 while supplies last.
Sprecher’s 40th anniversary celebration is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the brewery.
