Speeding and Alcohol Leads to Serious Accident

Traveling at a high rate of speed with no lights on may have contributed to a serious car accident in Milwaukee late Monday night.  According the Milwaukee Police Department, a 40-year-old man was speeding northbound on N 107th  Street without his headlight on, attempted to pass another vehicle,  lost control of his  2002 Pontiac Grand Prix and crashed into a tree near the intersection of 107th and W Villa Avenue.  The man was ejected from his car and suffered serious injuries.  He is being treated at a local hospital.  The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured in the accident.  Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
