South Shore Terrace holding opening celebration
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- South Shore Terrace will celebrate its season opening on Wednesday, April 12, at 4 p.m.
This event marks the beginning of Milwaukee's beer garden season and will feature a keg tapping, with free beer available while supplies last. The kitchen will also be open, introducing guests to the new spring menu.
As one of the most popular beer gardens in the region, South Shore Terrace is known for its beer, food, gas fire pits and views of Lake Michigan and Milwaukee's skyline. The venue operates from Wednesday to Friday, 4 - 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. and holidays, 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
South Shore Terrace is available for private events on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Visitors can enjoy the beer garden's 20 tap beer lines and a diverse menu that includes the Buffalo & Bleu Burger, Milwaukee Melt, fresh salads, hand-battered cheese curds, sidewinder fries and the Friday Fish Fry. A kids' menu is also available.
The lakefront seating is back this season, thanks to a donation from Molson Coors, who has supported the park system with over $600,000 in recent years.
