South Milwaukee's Crusherfest to return in June 2023

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The third annual Crusherfest will take place on June 3-4, 2023 in South Milwaukee, the committee announced today on May 4, 2022.

The event isn't being held this year because of the Bucyrus Commons construction in South Milwaukee.

Crusherfest 2021 offered live wrestling, music, a bags tournament, and more.

Da Crusher was a lifelong resident of South Milwaukee, and he wrestled professionally at the highest level for over 40 years and was known worldwide as “The Man That Made Milwaukee Famous.”

In 2019, a statue was erected in his honor in South Milwaukee, and an annual festival known as Crusherfest was born.

Da Crusher is a three time AWA Heavyweight Champion, a five time AWA Tag Team Champion with Dick the Bruiser, a member of the WCW
Hall of Fame, and a World War II Army Veteran.
