MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The South Milwaukee Heritage Days Parade, a tradition since the 1940s, is preparing for another year of community-wide celebration.
Parade Chair Dan Caveney, Treasurer Shanda Caveney and Marketing Coordinator Cory Gagnon joined us on Tuesday, July 25 to discuss the annual celebration that is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 29.
With over 150 participating units, the parade route will take participants from the heart of South Milwaukee along Milwaukee Ave. to the Lionsfest grounds at 16th and Rawson. Highlights include marching bands, patriotic representations from military, veteran, fire and police personnel, alongside dance shows, horses and floats.
Additional details are accessible on the official website at smheritagedays.org/parade and the Facebook page: South Milwaukee Heritage Days Parade.
