MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An unarmed modern Japanese martial art practice will be front and center at the 2023 Wahadachi Judo Tournament and Wisconsin State Championship
It takes place Sunday, Mar. 5 at Milwaukee Lutheran High School.
Various age groups, from young kids to seniors, will compete in different categories. In all, there will be close to 350 competitors.
They will be exhibiting what is considered to be the most prominent form of jacket wrestling in the entire world.
All the Judo action begins at 9:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies. Registration is closed to participate in the competition but the public is still welcome to watch.
