MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Fans and families were left terrified after multiple shots rang out during a homecoming game hosted by Milwaukee Lutheran High School against Pius XI Catholic High School on Friday night.

Milwaukee police responded around 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 22 to the area of 95th and Grantosa.

"It was scary," said Logan Struck, a former Pius student, who was at the game with his sisters.

A now-deleted livestream on Milwaukee Lutheran's YouTube recorded the gunshots. In the video, you can see players on the field start to scramble.

"People were helping each other over the fences, people were helping just to make sure everybody was safe," Struck said, adding that his immediate instincts were to protect his siblings. "Keep an eye on your loved ones that are there, and if anything happens like that, make sure you take precaution and get out safely."

While thankfully no injuries have been reported, officials said no one is in custody.

Pius released this updated statement Saturday evening:

"Thank you to all who have showed support for those impacted by last night’s incident. At this time, we do not have any additional details related to this ongoing investigation.

Please know we are working with law enforcement and are focusing on coordinating the necessary resources to support the mental health and well-being of our students, staff, and broader community."

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information is asked to call Milwaukee police at (414) 935-7360, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (414) 224-Tips / or P3 Tips.
