"Solly's Grille" Serving up Buttered Burgers for 80 Years!

Solly's Grille in Glendale has been a scrumptious staple of local dining for 80 years now, and there's no sign of the restaurant closing anytime soon.  And even though it's moved several times over the years, the famous buttered burgers have been a permanent fixture with what this diner has to offer.

I stopped by there for my live segments Friday morning during the newscast.  And I wasn't alone.  Just like every Friday, Vietnam veterans show up and sit around the counter.  Solly's owner, Glenn Fieber, is a Vietnam vet himself, so he thought it just made sense to extend an open invitation to all his brothers (and sisters) who've served during war.

Some of the serving staff has even been there several decades. The restaurant, off Pt. Washington Road, is open seven days a week but with different hours.  A variety of food is served, especially breakfast items.
