Social media push urging support for Bucks arena
Paul Henning is a lifelong Milwaukee Bucks fan. He's the man behind the Save Our Bucks movement.
In the last six weeks he's been using social media to urge fans and arena supporters to contact lawmakers to voice their support.
\"We're reaching a point in the debate that it's kind of a critical point,\" Henning said Friday. \"I think a lot of people that weren't fully engaged before - there's a lot of people thinking - oh it's going to get done at some point, it's going to get done - well it needs that push to get done. I think a lot of people are finally hearing the call to action.\"
Henning said the public-private partnership is similar to others that local government's sign off on.
\"If you strip away the sports aspect of it, this is a large company in the state of Wisconsin with a pretty large payroll,\" Henning said. \"You can just look downtown at the Northwestern Mutual building going up, and see what local government can do when they partner with local businesses.
Henning said it's a critical few days as lawmakers will start debating the arena proposal in Madison soon.
