MILWAUKEE (CBS 58)--Some 90 thousand downtown Milwaukee workers get the preferential treatment over the course of the coming days. The 15th Annual "Downtown Employee Appreciation Week" kicks off today and runs through Friday. And because of the current pandemic, the yearly event takes on a different look. There’s a hodgepodge of virtual events in addition to in person happenings, including a blood drive today, kayaking on the Milwaukee River Tuesday and Wednesday and a drive-thru movie at Schlitz Park Thursday evening. This is on top of the numerous prizes being given out as well.
