Snowplow driver injured in Dane County after losing control on slick roadway, crashing into trees

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A snowplow driver was injured after losing control on a slick road and crashing into trees.

It happened around 6 p.m. Monday in the 4000 block of Barlow Road in the Town of Cross Plains.

According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, a Town of Cross Plains snow plow truck was out clearing snow and salting slippery roads when the driver lost control on an "extremely slick road due to the slush."

The truck then slid off the roadway and into the trees to the west of Barlow Road before landing on its roof.

The Cross Plains Fire Department had to extricate the driver who had minor injuries.
