Snow returns this week
Going into today Milwaukee is running around 10" below normal for snow this season. We all know a big system or two can quickly get the numbers back to normal; however, there's nothing major going on over the next 10 days.
There will be a chance for accumulating snow Thursday into Friday and possibly Saturday. An upper level system moving across the Pacific Northwest will dive south across the Midwest and central Plains on Wednesday. This energy will push a mix of rain and some snow into the area by late Thursday morning into the afternoon.
A quick transition will occur by the late afternoon into the evening to all snow. Snow is likely for Thursday night through Friday morning. Scattered light snow showers are possible on Friday, but the majority of the accumulation will be done by the early afternoon. Most of the area will pickup 1" to 4" of snow.
Flurries are possible on Saturday even for the playoff game in Green Bay. Wind chills in the teens and lower 20s are possible for the game.
