Milwaukee County Executive declared a snow emergency for Milwaukee County employees beginning at 1:00 p.m. based on the National Weather Service’s Lake Effect Snow Warning and the hazardous weather conditions.
All non-essential departments will be closed for the safety of our employees and the public.
County DOT staff has been out at full capacity salting and plowing the freeway and County roads since the inclement weather conditions began last night.
Milwaukee County Transit Services (MCTS) buses are running as scheduled.
Employees and visitors may remain sheltered in County facilities while awaiting public or private transportation.
The County will resume normal operations tomorrow, March 14th, at 10:00 a.m., and all County employees are to report to work tomorrow at that time.
