TOWN OF BURLINGTON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two people were seriously hurt following a plane crash in the Town of Burlington on Sunday, August 9.
The crash happened around 2:40 p.m.
The Racine County Sheriff's office said both the pilot and a passenger were found conscious with life threatening injuries. Both people had to be removed from the plane.
Authorities said witnesses told them the plane had just taken off and was having a hard time gaining altitude.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the crash.
