Small child hit and killed by school bus on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police confirm a six-year-old boy was hit and killed by a school bus near the intersection of Mineral St. and Cesar Chavez Dr. at 3:50 p.m.


The six-year-old boy was hit while trying to cross Cesar Chavez Dr. The school bus was driven by a 24-year-old woman from Milwaukee. Her bus had not passengers and she is cooperating with investigators.


The six-year-old boy died at the scene of the crash.
