Slice of Ice Opens Tuesday

Winter weather is here, and that means it's now cold enough for Slice of Ice to open in Milwaukee's Red Arrow Park.

If you'd like to do a little ice skating, the outdoor rink opens at 3 Tuesday afternoon.

Then on December 21st, the ice rink will celebrate the start of the season with Holiday Hoopla from 4-7 PM, which will feature live music as well as goodie bags for the first 100 families who show up.

As always, skating is free if you bring your own skates, and they also offer blade sharpening for $6 per pair.

If you don't have your own skates, you can rent some for a fee, but if you need to rent be sure to check the weather before you go. When the National Weather Service issues a cold-weather, blizzard or wind-chill advisory, the Skate Rental Counter will be closed.

For more information and pricing, check out the Slice of Ice page here.
