Six shootings; 3 were fatal shootings over the weekend

There were six shootings between June 27 and June 28 in Milwaukee and three of the shootings were fatal, according to Milwaukee Police Department.

On June 27 a shooting occurred at 7:23PM in the 4200 block of N. 63rd Street. The 21 year old man was shot in a vehicle as he was attempting to flee from subjects after a drug related transaction. He was transported to a local hospital by a friend . He died from his injuries at a local hospital on June 28.

At 8:04PM on June 27, a shooting occurred at the 2300 block of W. Scott Street. A 20 year old victim from Milwaukee was shot while trying to stop a subject from shooting someone else after a fight. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.

At 11:34 pm on June 27, a shooting occurred in the 2700 block of N. 24th St. A man in his 30's stated that while walking in the area he heard shots and then realized he had been shot. He was transported to a local hospital by a friend and is currently being treated for a non-life threatening injury.

At 11:36 pm on June 27, a fatal shooting of a 41 year-old man occurred in 3300 block of N. 57. A witness reported hearing gunshots and later found an unconscious adult male down in the alley. The victimmwas transported to a local hospital. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear. The victim, Noble Walton, died from his injuries at a local hospital on June 27.

On June 28 at 8:00 pm a shooting that occurred in the 4900 block of W. Auer St . A 21 year old male from Milwaukee stated that he was walking down the street when a car pulled up and began to shoot at him. He suffered a non-life threatening wound and was able to walk himself to a local hospital for treatment. The victim was not able to give a description of the actors at this time.

Then at 8:56pm on June 28, a fatal shooting occurred in the 3500 block of W. Wright St. A 44 year old female was shot while standing outside of her residence from shots that were fired nearby, it is not known at this time if she was the intended target. She suffered a serious injury and was transported to a local hospital. The 44-year-old died from her injuries at a local hospital on June 28.

MPD continues to seek a motive and search for suspects in all of these cases.
