Silver Alert canceled; missing Waukesha County man found safe

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police say Herbert Schmiedel has been found safe.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for an 89-year-old man missing from the town of Brookfield.

Herbert Aurther Schmiedel was last seen at his residence on Brook Park Drive in Brookfield around 11 a.m. Monday, May 31.

He's believed to be traveling in a gray 2005 Mercury Montego with a black rag top and the Wisconsin license plate ABS5583.

Herbert is described as a white male, 5'2" tall, 150 pounds, with hazel eyes, white hair and a short combover.

He was last seen wearing a black striped golf T-shirt and gray shorts.
