WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A silver alert has been issued for a 66-year-old Waukesha man. 

John Abel is described as a Caucasian male, standing 5'8" tall, weighing about 247 pounds, with hazel eyes, brown hair, and a large scar under his chin/neck. 

He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, flannel shirt, beige and red vest, and blue jeans. 

Authorities say John is driving a 2006 silver Volvo XC70 with the Wisconsin license plate 173ZEK.  The vehicle has a missing rear bumper shield.
