Updated: Saturday, September 16th 9:10pm:

Rainfall hasn't been as widespread as initially expected this evening, but the areas that have gotten the slow moving storms have gotten a lot of rain and some pea to marble sized hail.

Check out some of these rain totals through 9pm. You can tell where the storms parked themselves!

Recent model trends suggest the most widespread rain will stay farther south tonight into Sunday morning. That being said, a few additional showers are still expected Sunday morning, particularly near Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha. We'll then see decreasing clouds in the afternoon.

After a quiet start to the day, slow moving showers and storms are beginning to develop in parts of SE WI. There has also been pea sized hail reported at times with the southern Milwaukee cell.

There are additional showers and storms back to the west that will work into SE WI throughout the evening. Additional storms will likely pop up as well.

Showers and storms will become more widespread through the evening. Small hail will be possible in storms before 10pm. Rain and rumbles of thunder will likely continue through the night.

This system will only slowly push east tonight into Sunday thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Lee sitting to our east. This will keep like to moderate rain around most of Sunday morning, especially in lakeside communities. There is also a low, but not zero, chance for waterspouts Sunday morning as well.

This system will have pushed far enough east that we should see decreasing clouds Sunday afternoon. Overall, most of SE WI will pick up .25-.50" of rain, but there will be locally higher amounts in spots that see storms.

Temps will be on the cooler side on Sunday thanks to the rain and NE wind, but it won't stay cool for long! Above normal temps are expected for the second half of the week.
