Shorewood: Two arrested after armed robbery near Glendale and Woodruff
SHOREWOOD, Wis. (CBS 58) --- Shorewood police responded to an armed robbery near Glendale and Woodruff on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Police say it happened around 6:35 a.m.
According to the Shorewood Police Department, the victim reported two Black male subjects with guns had forced him out of his car at gunpoint and stole and his car and phone.
Glendale police officers saw the stolen car shortly after in the 900 block of Hampton. The stolen car crashed in a ditch and the two suspects involved were standing by the car, police say.
The suspects attempted to flee on foot, but were arrested by the Glendale Police Department.
One suspect was in possession of a semiautomatic handgun when he was taken into custody, officials say. An airsoft gun was also recovered from inside the stolen car.
The Shorewood Police Department will be seeking criminal charges for this incident.
