41-year-old man shot and killed near 25th and Meinecke

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police are investigating a homicide that took place near 25th and Meinecke around 6:45 Monday night.
The victim has been identified as 41-year-old Shawn Alford.
Police say Alford was sitting in a vehicle when someone fired several gunshots into the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were administered, however, unsuccessful. He died at a local hospital.
The circumstances of this shooting, as well as a motive, remain under investigation. No one is in custody at this time.
