PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The 19-year-old man killed in a shooting near Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Pleasant Prairie has been identified.

Police say Khaled M. Alchaar from Pleasant Prairie died at the hospital on Monday evening.

The investigation remains ongoing.

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 19-year-old man is dead after a shooting near Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Pleasant Prairie. 

Pleasant Prairie Police say officers were called to the parking lot of the restaurant near 77th Street and 104th Avenue for a report of a man who was shot around 8:45 p.m. Monday. 

When officers arrived, they found the 19-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died. 

Detectives began investigating to try to find the suspect or suspects and searched the area extensively with help from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, Kenosha Police, and Wisconsin State Patrol. 

Police believe it was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A shooting investigation is underway near Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Pleasant Prairie.

Police from several agencies responded to the scene near 10366 N. 77th Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Monday.

Kenosha Police confirm they are assisting Pleasant Prairie Police with the investigation.
