Sheriff Clarke stops man from running ex-girlfriends car off road

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke chased and eventually pulled over a 30-year-old Milwaukee man trying to run his ex-girlfriend off the road near 76th and Good Hope Rd.

According to the sheriff's office, Sheriff Clarke saw 30-year-old Don Bush trying to run his ex-girlfriend's car off the road near 51st and Good Hope Rd. Sheriff Clarke pursued Bush's vehicle as it dodged in and out of traffic. Bush finally pulled over on N. 76th St. just south of Good Hope Rd.

Bush's 35-year-old ex-girlfriend says she feared for her life and the lives of her 12 and 15-year-old children. She alleges Bush had been following her for 30 minutes, and came close to hitting her vehicle.

The sheriff's office says Bush was driving on a suspended license and his car did not have license plates. Bush was cited for Operating After Suspension, Non-Registration of Auto, and Unsafe Lane Deviation. Criminal charges have been referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
