Sheriff: Body found along Lake Michigan shoreline in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Authorities are investigating after a body was found along the shore of Lake Michigan in the city of Racine Wednesday, Oct. 6.

According to the Racine County sheriff, a citizen walking near 11th and Pershing Park Drive came upon a deceased individual laying partially in the water and partially on the shoreline around 12:25 p.m.

Officials say the body appeared to belong to a white male in his late 20s.

Loved ones are identifying the man as Aric Lantz. They say he went missing last Wednesday.

The man's death remains under investigation.
