Sheboygan Police investigating accidental shooting

SHEBOYGAN Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Sheboygan Police Department is currently investigating an accidental shooting.
Police responded to an address in the 900 block of High Avenue on Sunday to investigate a report of a shooting.
The investigation revealed that a 29-year-old man was trying to clean his 9 mm handgun. During the cleaning process, the victim pointed the gun towards the ground and accidentally discharged it, striking himself in the right ankle.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
