Police investigate isolated armed robbery, shots fired in Downtown Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN, Wisc. (CBS 58) -- Police responded to calls for a disturbance in an apartment building near N. 8th St.and Niagra Ave. around 10:50 p.m. Thursday.

Officers found that an armed robbery had occurred in an apartment, which spilled into the hallway and a single gunshot was discharged during the confrontation. There were no injuries from the gun fire. 

The victim was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and later released. 

Further investigation showed the robbery victim was targeted and there was no threat to the community. 

The suspects fled the apartment with undisclosed property.

Investigators continue to interview witnesses and search for leads to identify the possible suspect.
