SHEBOYGAN COUNTY (CBS 58) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office says authorities have arrested 23-year-old Jamal Rudd.

He was located near Germaine Ave. and S. Taylor Dr. in Sheboygan Friday around 6:08 a.m. Police say Rudd was taken into custody after he attempted to run away from authorities.

A manhunt searching for Rudd began on Thursday.

He was wanted on active warrants from Manitowoc County. The sheriff's office says Rudd faces potential charges in multiple jurisdictions.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police are searching for a man they are calling armed and dangerous. He's wanted for an alleged abduction in Manitowoc County but police believe he's now in Sheboygan County.

A man who works near the area where police were searching said he noticed the man walking around 9 a.m. looking over his shoulder and acting suspicious so the man called police.

People living near I-43 said they've seen police all over the area all day and the nearby middle and high schools went on lockdown. 

Another arrest was made in relation to the Manitowoc incident, but police are still looking for the man.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Around 11:15 a.m. the Sheriff's Office stopped actively searching for the suspect. Multiple agencies were involved in the search including drone teams and SWAT teams.

The suspect has been identified and authorities believe the man was no longer in the area.

Just after 1 p.m. the Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office got a report that the suspect was near Oostburg. After looking at surveillance footage authorities determined the person in Oostburg was not the suspect.

SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says they are searching for a man in connection with a suspicious incident believed to have a gun.

Investigators say they were called about the incident around 9:00 a.m. Thursday in the Town of Wilson in the area of Sauk Trail and Middle Road.

Deputies are not releasing much information about the incident but say they are looking for a black man with dreadlock style hair, about 6’ tall, 200 pounds, with both ears pierced. They say he was wearing an orange and black t-shirt and blue jeans. It’s believed the man has a handgun. The Sheriff’s Office says he is a suspect in an incident that occurred in Manitowoc County.

Authorities say they have tried to contact several residents and businesses in the area to let them know about the situation.

Anyone with information or who may have seen the suspect is asked to contact authorities.
