Severe Thunderstorm watch Until 8 PM

After a nice stretch of weather, the patterns looks more active this week, starting today.  A cold front will push through tonight.  Out ahead of it, we face the possibility of strong to severe weather.  A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for most of our area until 8 pm.

Scattered storms ahead of a cold front have already developed this afternoon.  These storms are moving quickly.  We expect them to race across the area between now and 8 pm.

Large hail and damaging winds are all possible.  Heavy rain, adding up to a few inches, could happen as well.

We get a one-day break on Tuesday.  And then more storms fire up with a few different systems beginning Wednesday afternoon and lasting through at least Saturday.

Fall starts at 9:21 Thursday morning.  But it won't feel like it, especially these next few days.  However, we do see a bigger push of cooler air next week with highs only in the 60s!  Stay tuned.

In the meantime, make sure to download the free CBS58 weather app when you're on the go, especially with the storms coming later today.  This is a perfect way to keep ahead of all the action.
