Several arrested in Racine County following traffic stop, chase

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Several people were arrested early Friday morning following a failed traffic stop and chase in Racine.

Authorities say a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop for a registration violation near 16th and State Highway 31 around 2:15 a.m.

The car drove off at a high rate of speed, failing to stop for a red light and driving over 70 mph in 25 mph zones.

The chase ended when individuals got out of the car and ran. All six occupants were taken into custody.

The passengers were found to be three juvenile females, ages 14, 15 and 16, and three adult males. The juveniles' parents were not aware of the girls' location or who they were with.

The driver of the vehicle is held on charges of felony fleeing and eluding, obstructing, disorderly conduct, and a warrant out of the DOC for a probation and parole violation for armed robbery.
