MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- With the holiday season approaching, lots of people are getting into the giving spirit.
On Tuesday, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Sendik's partnered to combat hunger across the state.
The food market donated four full truckloads of holiday meal essentials including stuffing, canned veggies, soup, gravy and other pantry staples.
"We're very proud to offer help to Feeding America because we want Wisconsin families that need this food to have it when they need it the most, and Thanksgiving is a time families will need the extra push," said Sendik's co-owner Margaret Harris.
This was the 17th consecutive year Feeding America and Sendik's partnered for a large holiday donation.
