MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Businessman John Sellars founded Sellers while working out of his garage in 1985. Since then, it has expanded tremendously -- becoming one of the leading manufacturers of cleaning supplies in the city.
On Tuesday, June 17, the Milwaukee-based company opened their fifth location on the city's north side.
Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson recognized the company's commitment to Milwaukee and touched on what opportunities this milestone brings.
"This expansion, I think it really represents something big, it's a big win for Milwaukee," said Mayor Johnson. "Sellars has always been a shining example of what it means to grow...with purpose innovating adapting always staying committed...just like how this company has been to the city of Milwaukee for so many decades."
The new location -- located at 5400 W. Good Hope Road -- is expected to add an additional 20 employees working in fields such as logistics and facility management.
