School Bus crashes with students on it in Beaver Dam

A school bus struck a utility pole in Dodge County while transporting 21 students from Beaver Dam Unified School District around 7:04 AM.

The accident happened at Cth G near Hillview Drive, in the Township of Beaver Dam.

Preliminary investigation shows that Robert Grau, 49 years-old, was operating a  Johnson School Bus traveling east on Cth G when the bus went off of the roadway and struck a utility pole. 

The bus was transporting 21 students from the Beaver Dam Unified School District, 4 of which sustained minor injuries but were not transported by EMS. 

Grau sustained minor injuries and was transported to Beaver Dam Hospital.

Assisting at the scene was:  Wisconsin State Patrol, Town of Beaver Dam Police, Beaver Fire and EMS.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
