MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- An Amazon Prime subscription means you can get lots of things delivered right to your front door and quickly too. But what if Amazon delivered a scholarship? That's exactly what happened for one hometown student this week.
Libby Cox is a senior at University School of Milwaukee, and she's won $40,000 from the Amazon Future Engineer scholarship program. Plus, the company is offering her a paid internship after her freshman year of college.
Cox is one of 400 Amazon scholarship recipients this year, and the company says half of the students are woman or nonbinary.
Two other Wisconsin students won scholarships as well. Sophie Farrell, of Hartford Union High School, and Megan, Grow, of Shoreland Lutheran High School in Kenosha, also will be setup for success in college thanks to Amazon.
