Scattered rain chances return for the weekend

It's shaping up to be another beautiful day across southeast Wisconsin with mostly sunny skies and temps warming into the mid 70s.

The radar is a bit busy to our west with an area of rain draped along a stationary front. This batch of rain is expected to fizzle out before reaching southeast Wisconsin later today.

The remnants of this front along with another upper level low pressure system will provide a better chance for a few scattered showers and storms on Saturday. It definitely won't be a washout. An isolated shower or two is possible in the morning, but the higher chance for scattered showers and storms will be late afternoon into the evening.

Shower and storm activity will become very isolated Saturday night, but one more weak disturbance wrapping around this low pressure system could trigger a couple more isolated showers Sunday morning.

Where these showers and storms ultimately pop up will be random in nature. If you're lucky enough to get a storm or multiple showers, you could easily pick up .25-.50" of rain. Other spots may not see much rain at all. This rain totals map shows that general idea.

Temps overall will be in the low to mid 70s this weekend with more sunshine developing by Sunday afternoon.
