SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Sauk County Sheriff's Deputy was honored for saving his mother's life.

Deputy Brian Schlough was first on scene and performed CPR on his own mother.

"I cannot begin to imagine how difficult that was for him. His training and experience took over and he saved the life of the person who gave him life. Thank you Brian and congratulations. No award can take the place of your mother and thankfully, due to your efforts, this award doesn’t have to," said Sheriff Chip Meister in a statement on Facebook.
