Saturday Storms Possible

It's been an active night across central and northern Wisconsin with showers and storms.  The heavy rain and embedded storms should stay to the north of us for tonight; however, more storms are expected to redevelop across southeastern Wisconsin on Saturday.

Take a look at the picture above.  The complex of showers and storms will slide to our northeast for the rest of tonight.  Cooler outflow from the storms will likely provide a focus for showers and storms for Saturday afternoon and evening across southeastern Wisconsin.

There's a marginal risk for strong to severe storms on Saturday.  The ingredients are pretty meager.  Dewpoints in the middle to upper 50s should be enough for storms.  An upper level wave will create enough instability for additional storms to fire by Saturday afternoon.

If storms can pulse up they could produce small hail and gusty winds.  Lingering showers are expected into Saturday evening before clearing out for Sunday. Clouds and breezy northerly winds on Sunday will keep highs in the 60s!
