Runners, defense spark Badgers to third straight win

Even without Corey Clement, the Badgers still rushed for 326 yards in their final non-conference tune-up Saturday, a 28-0 win over Hawaii at Camp Randall Stadium.

Taiwan Deal rushed for 146 yards and two scores to lead the Badgers, who have given up just three total points over their last three contests. Deal scored in each of the first two quarters, while Joel Stave found Austin Traylor late in the third quarter for another score to put Wisconsin ahead 21-0.

Dare Ogunbowale rushed nine yards for the Badgers final score of the day in the fourth quarter. Wisconsin's defense held Hawaii to just 15 yards rushing and 240 yards passing in the shutout.

Wisconsin starts Big Ten conference play Saturday when the Iowa Hawkeyes come to Camp Randall Stadium for an 11:00AM kickoff.
