Riverwest Radio hits the Airwaves

New Years Day marks a new beginning for a Riverwest radio station, making a long-awaited debut on FM Radio.

104.1 WXRW-LP is one of hundreds of community-based radio stations capitalizing on a new FCC law.

The 'LP' stands for 'Low Power', meaning you'll have to be close to the station to listen in. But organizers are hoping the strength of the station will sit not in the the signal, but in the community.

CBS 58's Evan Kruegel has the story.
