MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – A strip club won’t be coming to Milwaukee’s Riverwest neighborhood.
Tha Circle at Humboldt and North applied for an adult entertainment license. The owner’s husband said they wanted to know more about having strippers during bachelor parties at the bar and were misinformed on what box to check on an application.
“I just had a question because other establishments have strippers and I didn’t know the legalities of it. That was my question when we went in for a renewal. She said check the box and figure it out later. We never said we wanted to open a strip club,” said Daryl Carter, the owner’s husband.
The bar decided to withdraw the adult entertainment license application.
