Rivers, Johnson finalists for Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced that Milwaukee Bucks head coach Doc Rivers has been named one of the finalists as a coach for the Class of 2026 on Wednesday, Feb. 11. 

Not only that, but Bucks legend Marques Johnson has been named finalist player for the Veterans Committee. 

Rivers ranks as the sixth in all-time wins among NBA head coaches and was named one of the 15 Greatest Coaches in NBA in 2022. He led the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship in 2008. 

Johnson is a three-time All-NBA honoree and five-time All-Star selection and has helped the Bucks get to the playoff six times in his career including two Eastern Conference Finals. 

The Class of 2026 will be revealed on April 4 at the NCAA Final Four.
