Retired Sheriff's Deputy stops shoplifter at Oak Creek Menards

OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A retired Sheriff's Deputy took matters into his own hands to stop a shoplifter.

It happened at the Menards in Oak Creek on 27th Street.

According to police, the retired deputy saw a teenager putting knives and an ax into his backpack.

He confronted the 15-year-old in the parking lot and detained him until officers arrived.

The teen was ticketed and then turned over to his mom.
