MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- First responders from multiple departments battled an apartment fire late Thursday near 84th and Mill.
MFD tells CBS 58 calls about the blaze began at 11:15 p.m. on July 4. Crews from Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and North Shore arrived quickly and started offensive attacks.
They say the fire took three hours to extinguish.
One resident was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no firefighters were injured.
MFD says that preliminary investigations indicate fireworks left in a parking lot caused the fire.
The Red Cross says they are assisting families that were affected by the fire.
