MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 3:30 a.m. in the area of N 1st Street and Meineke Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 28-year-old Milwaukee woman who had been shot several times.   

The woman was able to describe the suspect before she was transported to a local hospital for treatment of what is described as serious wounds.

With the information the victim provided, officers went to the suspect's home at N 54th and W Silver Spring Drive where they found a 29-year-old man who was deceased.

The MPD is continuing to investigate the incident.
