Red panda sponsorship, a Valentine's Day gift option that supports Milwaukee's zoo program

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Zoological Society of Milwaukee is making a push for the most unique Valentine's Day gift around, and arguably one of the most adorable.

They are offering the opportunity to sponsor Cinder, a red panda cub born at the Milwaukee County Zoo. Cinder made her public debut late on Sept. 22 of last year, the third cub born to parents Dash and Dr. Erin Curry.

Those who sponsor Cinder will also get the unique gift of a red panda plush toy and a chocolate heart, fully rounding out the Valentine's Day theme of the gift.

What makes this particular red panda worth sponsoring? According to the Zoological Society, she warms hearts around the zoo by munching on bamboo and wrestling with her parents. In fact, those who upgrade sponsorships to $100 will be entered in a drawing to win a behind-the-scenes experience of the red panda home to get the full view of why people love Cinder.

The Sponsor an Animal Program is a method for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee to raise funds to allow it to continue to support the Milwaukee County Zoo, along with its other conservation and education efforts.

Sponsorship orders must be received by Feb. 6 to guarantee delivery in time for Valentine's Day. More information can be found by visiting ZooSociety.org/Sponsor.
