WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A plant-based restaurant in West Allis was the target of a robbery Sunday night, and the suspect was captured on security video.
The break-in happened at Twisted Plants, near 62nd and Lincoln, just before midnight.
Police say the suspect arrived in a vehicle and used a rock or brick to break the glass door and gain entry.
The suspect grabbed the cash register and fled the scene with it.
The break-in took approximately one minute.
Brandon Hawthorne, co-owner of Twisted Plants, says the suspect got away with about $1,000.
The incident remains under investigation.
