GREENFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- It's a "ride of passage" every Labor Day holiday weekend. This year is no exception. There could be up to 100,000 Harley riders in town for the annual "Milwaukee Rally." You've already probably noticed an uptick of hogs on the road. You'll definitely see them gathered around Harley-Davidson dealerships and the Harley-Davidson Museum. Organizers say this year's gathering during this pandemic makes people appreciate this special bike retreat even more.
House of Harley-Davidson President Jeff Binkert says he expects a big turnout, especially with the current pandemic. He thinks people have a real urging to get out and socialize, in a safe way of course. While I stopped over at House of Harley, Binkert showed me a new 26-thousand square foot garage able to store 700 bikes during the winter. If you're interested in renting a space for "in/out storage service,' you can email, [email protected].
You're reminded to pay close attention to the motorcyclists on the road this weekend. The Rally event itself wraps up on Monday. Click here for all the details.
