Confirmed tornadoes from Tuesday’s Severe weather outbreak
It may be Christmas weekend but it won't feel like or look like it at all in the weather world. After a dry start to Friday we see a good soaking rain roll in around lunchtime through the afternoon and evening. Areas especially along and south of I-94 will see a soaking rain and some steady rain while northern counties will just see light showers.
A good amount of rain is expected in those southern counties where up to a half inch of rain is possible. Northern counties where they only see light showers will get a tenth or two.
Both Saturday and Sunday now look pretty dry with only an isolated shower chance both days. Sunday night the rain chances return as Santa flies through the sky. A soaking rain still looks likely for Christmas Day with better chances in the afternoon/evening than morning.
More showers are expected right now on Tuesday and Wednesday. Temps might cool down enough on Wednesday to bring in a few snowflakes mixing with the snow. Rain totals by the middle of the week of Christmas look to be from 0.50-1.50" on most hometowns.
